SESSION PLAN

The first session is all about getting to know you, evaluating your skills and setting goals.
A regular session will start with warm up excercises (dry land, in the water) followed with technique exercises and fitness swimming. At the end of the session we do light stretching.

The reason I love private swimming is that I get to tailor the session individually for you! I consider your fitness level, your swimming skills, desired goals and your personality to make each session with me a challenging, enjoyable, and achievable experience.

Anything is possible now just jump in and start!

COACH EXPERIENCE

With an outstanding background as a professional swimmer and over 10 years of teaching experience, Renata Martinez brings both her passion and her expertise to the swimming pool, helping you believe & achieve!

I believe that anybody can learn how to swim and become a confident and competitive swimmer!

I began coaching in 2004 at a local swimming club in my home country of the Czech Republic. My passion for swimming and coaching increased when I moved to Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, where I was studying for my degree in physical education and sports science at Charles University.  During the summer of 2006 I traveled to Virginia, U.S.A, to teach and lifeguard at a children’s swimming camp. After this experience I decided I wanted to focus my energy on international swimming. I returned to the Czech Republic and became a swim coach for the Prague Sharks International Swimming Club and taught swimming and other afterschool clubs for a number of international schools in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2011, I was awarded the First Class Swimming Coach Certificate from the Czech Swimming Association, which privileged me the opportunity to meet with the Czech National Swimmers. In 2011, I graduated from Charles University with a Masters Degree. In 2012, I married my husband in the Czech Republic and in January of 2013 we moved to Southern California. She believes that everyone can learn how to swim and have fun doing it and I especially enjoy being able to be a part of the learning experience.
